We are so excited for our annual performance of The Nutcracker!

This year’s performances will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Hagee Communication Center at Nelson University (formerly SAGU).

Auditions | July 11 at 1p

Ready to make your Nutcracker dreams come true? Join us for The Nutcracker auditions for specialty and solo roles. There is a $10 audition fee per dancer.

An audition video will be sent to the primary email on file on Monday, June 23. This video will be the audition choreography. Dancers will need to learn the choreography on their own and come ready to perform it for auditions on Friday, July 11 at 1p.

Placements will be emailed out on Monday, July 14. All dancers who receive a specialty or solo part must be available for a mandatory choreography camp July 28-31.

The Nutcracker auditions are for additional roles outside of the dancer’s ballet class. Dancers in special roles are still required to attend a weekly ballet class to work on technique and their class performance piece as well. If your dancer does not receive a specialty or solo role for The Nutcracker, they will be placed in an ensemble class piece.

About the Show

All dancers in Ballet 1 - Ballet 4 classes will perform in The Nutcracker. Dancers will learn their choreography in class each week, so attendance is essential.

Because The Nutcracker is a production - and not a typical recital - additional in-studio rehearsals are needed to learn cues for entering and exiting the stage. These rehearsals will take place on Fridays and/or Saturdays leading up to the performance. Dates will be sent out as soon as they have been set.

Low Ballet Bun:
Mice and Toy Soldiers

*High Ballet Bun:
Snow, Spanish Hot Chocolate, Marzipan Flutes, Candy Cane Peppermints, Mother Ginger, Flowers
*High ballet buns should be at the crown of the head, not on the top of the head.

Ultra High Ballet Bun:
Chinese Tea
