We are so excited for our annual performance of The Nutcracker!
Auditions | Friday, July 24, 2026 | 6p
Auditions are for specialty parts and solos/duets. Auditions are for placement; there will be no “cuts.” Every dancer will receive a part. Please register before July 10. On July 10, dancers will be emailed a choreography video. It is the dancer’s responsibility to know the choreography when they arrive for auditions on July 24 at 6p. The fee to audition is $15.
If your dancer is selected for a specialty part or a solo/duet part, please note that there is a *mandatory* choreography camp August 3 - August 6.
There will be additional fees associated with the choreography camp, and the fees will vary based on the part your dancer receives.
About the Show
All dancers in Ballet 1 - Ballet 4 classes will perform in The Nutcracker. Dancers will learn their choreography in class each week, so attendance is essential.
Because The Nutcracker is a production - and not a typical recital - additional in-studio rehearsals are needed to learn cues for entering and exiting the stage. These rehearsals will take place on Fridays and/or Saturdays leading up to the performance. Dates will be sent out as soon as they have been set.

Hair: Ballet buns for all - see below for high or low.
Low Ballet Bun:
Mice and Toy Soldiers, Spanish Hot Chocolate, Marzipan Flutes, Flowers
Ultra-High Ballet Bun:
Chinese Tea
Ultra-high ballet buns should be on the top of the head.
High Ballet Bun:
Snow, Candy Cane Peppermints, Mother Ginger
High ballet buns should be at the crown of the head, not on the top of the head.
