Marcus Medina

Marcus' dance journey began in the 6th grade where he started training in Ballet, Modern, and Jazz at Davenport School of the Arts. Upon entering High School Marcus realized how much he loved the art form and wanted to pursue dance to a more serious degree. Throughout his High School years he competed and trained with Performers Edge Dance Center in all styles of Dance such as Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre, Ballroom, etc. While Marcus is knowledgeable in many styles, Hip Hop was the one he fell in love with the most, and it became the focal point of his career. In 2018 Marcus received his first choreography credit as an Assistant Choreographer for the Orlando Citrus Bowl Parade. Following High School Marcus went on to book his first job as a professional dancer as an inaugural member of the NBA's Orlando Magic Hip Hop team, The 407. He went on to perform with The 407 for two seasons and even co-choreographed sections of routines that debuted at the Orlando Magic games. Marcus also expanded his performance experience and skill cache by training in tumbling and stunt acting/fighting. With these skills he has been able to perform as Jason Bourne at one of Universal Orlando's newest attractions, The Bourne Stuntacular. Not only has Marcus danced and performed on stages throughout Orlando, he has also taught and choreographed for multiple studios across the area and his Hip Hop pieces have won numerous awards at competitions such as Starquest, VIP Dance, West Coast Dance Explosion, and Legacy. Marcus is moving to Texas to continue his training and performing with Dance Revolution's Ingredients Dance Company. He is so excited to begin teaching Hip Hop and Tumbling and cannot wait to meet you all!
